Longitudinal Roughness & Texture Profiler (LRTP)

  • The ARMS longitudinal profiler is a Class 1 profiler which is designed with a combination of high accuracy laser and accelerometer sensors to measure the longitudinal profile of the road which is in turn used to calculate the road condition data.
  • The data collected includes International Roughness Index (IRI), Mean Profile Depth (MPD).
  • The ASTM E950 compliant inertial profilers provide high accuracy and repeatable roughness and texture data.
  • Configurable from a single longitudinal profiler system measuring a single wheel path up to three longitudinal profilers measuring left, right, and centre wheel paths
  • Easy to install aluminium mounting with stainless steel sensor enclosures
  • No yearly factory calibration needed
  • Measurements possible on all sealed surfaces

GPS & GNSS + INS Road Geometry System

AMRS GPS
  • ARMS system offers different GPS modules at different price points and accuracies.
  • Low end GPS receiver with 3-15m accuracy and 1Hz update rate.
  • Mid-range GNSS system with DGPS capability. <1m accuracy with DGPS. Update rate 10Hz
  • High end GNSS+INS Road Geometry gives accurate data even during loss of satellites in situations such as tunnels, highly vegetated or mountainous areas etc. This system is also capable of doing RTK (with additional equipment) which can give accuracies around 5-10cm.
  • ARMS system is designed in such a way that clients with budget constrains can purchase lower end module initially and upgrade to higher accuracy units without any change to the central system.

ARMS Master Controller

AMRS DMI
  • The ARMS Master Controller (MC) is the core system that all other modules such as Longitudinal profiler, Transverse profiler, GPS etc connect to.
  • Master controller has inbuilt PC and all other elec- tronics required for data collection and processing. This means clients don’t need to worry about messy cabling between PC and other controllers installed inside the vehicle.
  • The master controller module can be upgraded like a normal PC if more computing power is required at a later stage. LRTP (Roughness & Texture)
